Womindjeka / Wominjeka means ‘welcome’ in the language groups of the Boon Wurrung and Woi Wurrung (Wurundjeri) peoples of the Kulin Nation ̶ the original inhabitants of the lands around Melbourne, Australia. On behalf of the Asset Management Council, Womindjeka / Wominjeka to AMPEAK 2021. Melbourne the host of AMPEAK 2021 is a renowned epicentre for sports, arts and entertainment and we encourage you to explore what our city has to offer.

The Asset Management Council is a membership-based, not-for-profit organisation focussed on enabling value from effective asset management. As an internationally recognised organisation at the forefront of asset management knowledge and development, we provide connections across the asset management sector and information and guidance on asset management across a multitude of industries and professional roles, both in Australia and overseas. Each year the Asset Management Council’s AMPEAK event brings together the international asset management community to develop world best practice and provide a support network for all involved. Each AMPEAK event provides the opportunity for all attendees to share, learn and support each other in our asset management practices.

2020 was a year of rapid change and adaptation to manage assets in new ways. Successful outcomes relied on the life cycle asset management community embracing change and implementing effective measures to ensure portfolios were functional and safe throughout periods of increased and in some cases decreased utilisation. For those on the front line, it was a year of current and emerging risks often superseding routine asset planning and management. AMPEAK 2021 brings together thought leaders to share with you experiences including challenges and learnings to build on the strong foundation and momentum for best practice.
